Luke looking to build on season opener and play his part in Town's attack this term
Luke Garbutt believes Town have plenty of options going forward this season and is determined to play his part in Blues' attacking set-up.
The Everton loanee lined up on the left of midfield in the win over Burton Albion on Saturday, with Danny Rowe supporting strikers Kayden Jackson and James Norwood from the opposite flank.
Alan Judge, Emyr Huws and Idris El Mizouni were all used as second-half substitutes at the Pirelli Stadium, with Paul Lambert's side also missing Jack Lankester, Gwion Edwards, Freddie Sears, Jordan Roberts, Teddy Bishop and Jon Nolan through injury.
"Towards the end of last season I contributed a few goals and assists and that's what I want to take into this campaign," Luke told iFollow Ipswich.
"I've started well so hopefully I'll get stronger once I get some more games under my belt and get more used to my teammates.
"I think we can flourish this season because we always look a threat going forward and there are injured players to return as well. If we can keep it solid at the back then we'll be in a good position.
"We got the start we wanted on Saturday so we'll be looking to build on that against Sunderland at home."
