Focus on concourse bars and kiosks to quicken up service while Beattie's is open after final whistle
A number of changes have been put in place at Portman Road to improve the speed of service to supporters at the concourse bars and food kiosks on matchday.
The improvements follow investment in a new CCTV system at the stadium and a new look ticket office, with plans to clean the roof of each stand starting with Sir Bobby’s and an upgrade of the PA system, with a number of other projects in the pipeline.
The focus recently has been on the concourses, with an upgraded till system implemented throughout the stadium which will improve the speed of service at outlets.
Additional credit card payment facilities at kiosks and bars have been added to further increase the speed of service.
Digital menu boards have been installed in all home bars, providing the ability to rotate menus and add new menu items through the season.
For the first game of the campaign at home to Sunderland, a vegan sausage roll makes its debut at Portman Road, available at all kiosks with gluten free options to follow in the coming weeks.
Supporters can also get their first look at Beattie's. The hospitality lounge will be open to all after the final whistle for an hour, with a bottle of beer at just £2.50.
