Loanee ready for Hatters test in the cup

Summer addition Will Norris said he is itching to go as he prepares to make his Blues debut against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup first round tomorrow evening.

The 26-year-old 'keeper, who arrived on loan from Wolves in July, is hoping to battle it out with Tomas Holy for the starting role at Town this term, and will get his first opportunity to show what he can do against The Hatters at Kenilworth Road.

"This is a good competition and a good oportunity for me and some of the lads to show what we can offer. I'm itching to get going," he told iFollow Ipswich.

"Every game is important to me generally speaking but in the goalkeeping role particularly you have to take the chances you get to impress.

"Over the course of the season I want to fight for the starting position and tomorrow is the first proper chance I'll have to stake my claim so I'm looking forward to it.

"I've enjoyed working closely with Jimmy (Walker, goalkeeping coach) and Tomas and now I'm ready to get out on the pitch and in front of the fans."
