Keane feeling good as minutes on pitch start to clock up

Will Keane says he is close to being back to full fitness after getting another 80 minutes in Sunday’s FA Cup draw at Coventry.

The striker, who had surgery on a damaged hamstring in the summer, put Blues ahead at St Andrew’s before the Sky Blues took the game to a replay with a last minute equaliser.

“I’m getting there fitness wise. I feel good and I’m getting good minutes on the pitch and feeling the benefit of that,” Will told iFollow Ipswich.

“I know it’s frustrating that we had a replay in the last round but it’s given me the opportunity to get more game time.

“Scoring against Coventry is good for the confidence as well. That’s what I’m I the team for and hopefully I’ll get more opportunities to play again soon.”
