Rose Hill Primary receive tickets for Gills Boxing Day clash
Rose Hill Primary School are the latest school to take part in our Class of Blues initiative, which sees Year 2 pupils being introduced to the Club.
Pupils from the local school were taken on a tour of Portman Road, followed by an ITFC themed maths and literacy lesson.
The children spent the afternoon at the Club and were handed tickets to the Boxing Day clash with Gillingham at Portman Road.
The Class of Blues initiative is part of a strategic effort from the Club to engage further with youngsters in the area, including First Time Fans, School of the Day and Junior Announcer.
EFL research suggests that children are most likely to watch their first game at the age of seven and then go on to 'pick' which team they will support. Therefore, Town's Class of Blues initiative is a way of introducing Ipswich Town to Year 2 pupils at local schools.
A reminder that you have until 5pm on Monday, 23 December to register for First Time Fans on Boxing Day. If you know someone aged 14 or under who will be attending their first ITFC game against Gillingham on Boxing Day, email firstname.lastname@example.org with their name, age and ITFC customer number. First time fans receive a certificate to commemorate their first game and will head pitchside for a photo with Club mascot Bluey.
