Duo to step up return from long term injury at Millwall

Freddie Sears is set to give Town a boost by returning to action for the U23s against Millwall today.

The striker has been out since February after sustaining cruciate ligament damage  in the derby at Norwich.

Ben Morris, who has been sidelined with the same ACL problem, is also in line to play his first football in 10 months, with the duo lined up to appear against the Lions at the Den.

Grant Ward will play for the Blues as a trialist, with the Club honouring the agreement to continue with the wideman’s rehabilitation until he is back playing games after he too sustained a cruciate ligament injury in Town’s defeat at QPR on Boxing Day 2018.

The former Tottenham Academy graduate is a free agent having come to the end of his contract at Portman Road in the summer.

The iFollow cameras are on the way to the Den to catch Ben and Freddie’s reaction on their return to action. Kick-off is 1pm.
