TOWN HOPEFUL ON SKUSE

6 December 2019

Cole in contention for Coventry but injuries starting to hit

Town are hopeful that Cole Skuse will be fit for Saturday’s League One game at Coventry but injuries are mounting up says Paul Lambert.

The midfielder was replaced at half-time during the leasing.com Trophy win at Peterborough on Tuesday with a hip problem, while Alex Henderson made his debut at the Weston Homes Stadium with Blues short of options at the back.

“We are hoping Cole will be okay,” Town boss Paul told iFollow Ipswich.

“He got a kick on the hip and taking him off was precautionary.

“We have got other injuries though. They are mounting up now. Some are certainly doubtful and struggling for tomorrow. We’ll see.”

There was good news on Toto Nsiala though. The defender has been sidelined with a hamstring injury for a couple of weeks having missed the start of the season with another hamstring problem but Paul added: “He’s getting there. he should be back next week.”
