Paul rues late winner and slow start from Town
Paul Lambert was disappointed with the manner of Sheffield Wednesday’s winner and Blues’ first-half display.
Lucas Joao won the game for the visitors with a 90th minute strike after Adam Reach had set him up.
“It was a really poor goal to concede,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“In my opinion there was a foul in the middle of the park but after that we got opened up too easily and Myles [Kenlock] has got caught with the lad getting around the back.
“They were the better team in the first-half and we had to ride our luck. They could have been two up but we hung on in there.
“It was pretty even in the second-half. We were certainly better and were more on the front foot.
“We had a couple of half chances and then we’ve got caught out right at the end which is very disappointing.”
