Paul aware of added spice but says three points is all that counts
Paul Lambert says the only thing that concerns him on Sunday is the three points at stake.
The Town boss returns to Carrow Road looking to end Blues’ long run without a derby win that stretches back to 2009 but it’s the desire to build up some momentum in the battle to beat the drop that he is focused on.
“I know this one has got added spice, whether it’s me going back there, or the intense rivalry, or the separation in the table and it has been too long for this Club to wait to beat their local rivals.
“Everything may be against us but they will have to earn the right to beat us. I’m not going there waiting for things to happen. I want us to make things happen.
“I can’t wait to go back there. I have my own feelings on it. I know exactly what I feel about it on and off the pitch. Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m a fighter. I’ll be going there to enjoy it.
“I won’t have to motivate the players. It’s a derby but derby or not, the most important thing for us is that we have to start putting a run of results together.”
