No return for James Collins tomorrow night, but some positive news on Welsh winger Gwion
Town boss Paul Lambert says he has a couple of new injury worries to contend with ahead of tomorrow's visit of Derby County.
Collin Quaner missed Sunday's East Anglian derby with a hamstring injury but should be available for selection, although the game looks as if it will come too soon for James Collins [also hamstring] to return.
"We have one or two knocks from the weekend," the boss told iFollow Ipswich.
"James [Collins] is still feeling it a little bit but he's getting better. Maybe this one will be a little bit early for him.
"We need to see how Luke Chambers is, too. If he can play, I'm pretty sure he will. He felt good on Saturday & we waited until Sunday but towards the end of the game his foot felt painful again so it'll be a late call on him.
"Hopefully Collin Quaner will be OK. He trained this morning so hopefully there's no reaction & if he's OK he'll be in the squad.
There is good news, however, on Gwion Edwards with the Welshman back in contention following a spell on the sidelines.
"Gwion has been injured with a really frustrating groin problem. He trained this morning for the first time in a few weeks so he'll be in the squad but it might be a bit early for him."
