And Paul salutes Blue Army again for unwavering support

Paul Lambert felt Will Keane’s last minute equaliser was the least Town deserved.

James McClean’s first-half goal after a mix up at the back for Blues looked to have won the game for Stoke until Keane's header from Alan Judge’s corner in added on time.

“We were up against a team that has spent a helluva lot of money, that have just been relegated from the Premier League but we kept going and deserved the point at least,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

“It was a mistake for their goal. That happens in football and it was against the run of play.

“We were relentless in the second-half, we went for it. It was a great delivery from Judge and a great header from Will Keane. No more than we deserved though.

“It was a fantastic atmosphere again. The crowd never wavered and we really appreciate that.

“I’m not sure I have seen that anywhere else. That a team that gets that much support when you are at the bottom of the table but I think they appreciate that we are giving it everything we’ve got.”
