“It’s paramount for the youngsters to have lads like those two around them"
Paul Lambert has said it’s imperative that youngsters at Town have the likes of Luke Chambers and Cole Skuse to use as role models.
The duo are at the top of the appearance makers in the Championship with over 500 games between them for Blues alone, with Chambo hoping to add to his tally by overcoming a foot injury to be fit for Saturday’s trip to Wigan.
“It’s paramount for the youngsters to have lads like those two around them,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“They are great at keeping a handle on things here and being good role models for the kids. I can’t think of two better role models.
“I don’t want youngsters here thinking they have arrived before they have kicked a ball; thinking they have done it already. That’s not healthy for anyone.
“The young lads here are really nice kids though but it’s great for them to have players like Cole and Luke around.”
