FREDDIE | FORM GOES OUT THE WINDOW

7 February 2019

Town striker ahead of Norwich clash

Freddie Sears expects recent form and league table positions to go out the window when it comes to this weekend’s East Anglian Derby.

Both Town and Norwich will be desperate for three points on Sunday but for different reasons, as Blues head to Carrow Road bottom of the Championship while the Canaries find themselves in the hunt for automatic promotion.

“It’s strange because if you watched the game at Portman Road back in September you’d probably have thought that both teams were going to have similar seasons,” Freddie said.

“But Norwich have obviously kicked on and it will be tough for us at their place on Sunday.

“You have to be positive going into these games, though, and form and the league table go out the window to a certain extent – it’s all about what happens on the day.

“The manager wants to go there and cause an upset and as players we have to believe we can beat them in their own back yard.”
