Boss delivers an injury update ahead of Saturday's clash at Portman Road
Paul Lambert has confirmed that Will Keane will miss Town's crucial encounter with Reading this weekend because of a hamstring injury.
The Blues striker was forced off in the second half against Wigan last time out, and it's not clear yet exactly how long a spell he will face on the sidelines.
The boss also said that a late call will need to be made on James Collins' availability, while Teddy Bishop is expected to return against the Royals but Jonas Knudsen won't be involved at Portman Road following his dismissal at the DW Stadium last Saturday.
"Will is definitely out," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
"How long he'll be out for I'm not exactly sure. We're still assessing a few things but he will be a big loss because he's been doing really well.
"We'll have to make a call on James tomorrow when we've seen how he is. We might have to look at changing the system slightly or making a few tweaks to personnel because there are a lot of injuries.
"Bish is back, thoough, which is good. He missed the game against Wigan through illness but he has been training most of this week.
"But Jonas obviously won't be involved because of his suspension so we do have a few things to look at."
