ALAN JUDGE JOINS TOWN

14 January 2019

Republic of Ireland international becomes sixth January arrival

Alan Judge has joined Town from Brentford for an undisclosed fee.

The Republic of Ireland international has signed a short term deal until the end of the season with a year’s option on top.

Alan, 30, started his career at Blackburn, making a couple of first-team appearances before going on to have loan spells at Plymouth and Notts County.

He joined County in a permanent move in January 2011 and spent two years at Meadow Lane before returning to Blackburn.

The midfielder headed to Brentford on loan in January 2014 and became an instant hit, helping the club to promotion from League One.

He made the move permanent that summer and was an integral part of the side that reached the Championship Play-Offs in 2014/15.

A broken leg sustained at Portman Road in 2016 kept him on the sidelines for a lengthy period but he returned to action last season and has clocked up close on 150 appearances for the Bees.

Alan is Town's sixth signing in the January window and will wear the number 31 shirt.
