FOODBANK SUCCESS

Blues shot-stopper supports Suffolk food charity

Bartosz Bialkowski was at Portman Road to meet members of FIND (Families In Need) and help promote the great work the charity undertakes.

FIND is a Suffolk charity which supports all those in need, regardless of faith or circumstance, by providing free food parcels and personal care items.

The charity hosted a foodbank in the FanZone at Portman Road for Town’s clash against Wigan in December, with Blues supporters donating to the cause.

β€œβ€It’s important for the Club to be out in the community,” Bart said.

β€œIt’s a very generous gesture from all the Town fans who donated to help people in need.”

The demand for food parcels has risen year on year and FIND now distribute an average of 70 parcels every week and even more close to Christmas – more than 5000 each year.

β€œIt’s really lovely to see that even though the Club are not doing so well, they can rise above that and care about people who are in need,” Maureen Reynel, Founder and Chair of FIND said.

β€œAll the food donated will be made into food parcels before being taken to people in and around Ipswich - we thank the Club and the fans for their support.”
