KAYDEN | WE HAVE A JOB TO DO

3 January 2019

Cup clash was "written in the stars" says striker

Kayden Jackson emphasised that he’s fully focused on the job at hand as Town return to his former club Accrington Stanley for the third round of the FA Cup this weekend.

The Blues forward spent the 2017-18 campaign at Wham Stadium, scoring 16 goals en route to the League Two title, and has fond memories of his time with the Lancashire outfit.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, although it was brief,” the 24-year-old told iFollow Ipswich.

“I’m looking forward to getting back there and I think it was almost written in the stars that I’d be making a return.

“They gave me an opportunity to play regular football and I’ll always be thankful for how the club helped me.

“I have very fond memories of last season but the only thing I’m focused on at the moment is trying to get the win on Saturday.

“We have a job to do and hopefully a run in the Cup could provide a spark for our league form.”
