No argument with penalty says Paul but disappointed with response

Paul Lambert felt Town didn’t do enough to get back in the game after going behind to a Danny Graham penalty.

Joe Nuttall added a second 17 minutes from time as Rovers saw out the game without too many scares.

The Town boss had no argument with the spot-kick after Callum Elder was judged to have fouled Adam Armstrong just past the hour.

“It was a penalty. Callum got caught on the wrong side,” Paul told iFollow Ipswich.

“There was nothing in the game up until then but what disappointed me was that we didn’t do enough to get back in the match.

“Some of that is down to fitness levels. We are trying everything to turn things around.

“We know we need to get some momentum and start getting a run of results and we have to go again next week.”
