Blues forward on defeat at Villa Park
Collin Quaner thought Aston Villa's second goal was tough for his Town team-mates to take as Blues fell to a 2-1 defeat at Villa Park.
The second-half substitute was ready to join the action at 1-0, but Tammy Abraham doubled Villa's lead via the spot before he could be introduced.
"It's a disappointing but unlucky result for us," he told iFollow Ipswich.
"They scored their second when we were on top in the game and looked like we could equalise so that was very tough on the team.
"But I'm proud of the guys that we didn't give up, we kept going and unfortunately just couldn't get that equaliser after a great goal from Freddie (Sears) to get us back in the game.
"We have a huge match against Sheffield Wednesday next week and our home form will be crucial for the rest of the season. There is no option for us in that one, we have to pick up the three points."
