'The first goal in that game was crucial and unfortunately it was them that got it'
Cole Skuse described Town’s 2-0 defeat away to Blackburn as a ‘missed opportunity.’
Blues were looking to secure back-to-back wins for the first time this season following last weekend’s success against Rotherham, but fell short at Ewood Park as Rovers netted twice in nine second-half minutes.
Danny Graham converted from the spot after Callum Elder was judged to have dragged down Adam Armstrong, before Joe Nuttall smashed in from close range.
“There was nothing in the game when the first goal went in but we’ve got to hold our hands up and say we weren’t quite at it today,” Cole told iFollow Ipswich.
“The first goal in that game was crucial and unfortunately it was them that got it.
“In the first-half we played some good stuff and it feels like a missed opportunity because we were full of belief that we could come here and get all three points.
“That hasn’t materialised but there is no time to dwell on it - we need to look forward to next weekend now.”
