Striker arrives from Hull until the end of the season and in squad for FA Cup trip

Town have signed Hull striker Will Keane on loan until the end of the season.

The 25-year-old, who has been handed the number 14 shirt, will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s FA Cup trip to Accrington Stanley.

Will started his career at Manchester United, working his way through their youth system and going on to make two substitute appearances in the Premier League.

He had loan spells at Wigan, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday and Preston before joining then Premier League Hull in the summer of 2016.

A second serious knee injury of his career curtailed his first season with the Tigers in November 2016 but he returned to action in January 2018 and has clocked up 22 appearances for the Yorkshire club, including a starting role in last weekend’s 2-0 win at Championship leaders Leeds.

Capped by England at U21 level, he is the brother of Everton defender and senior England international, Michael Keane.

"I know the qualities Will will give us and I'm delighted we have been able to get him here," Town boss Paul Lambert told the Club  website.
