Town on look out for inspirational people to carry out matchball

Town will continue with the Community Champion initiative for the 2019/20 season.

The initiative, now going into its fourth season gives well-deserving people in the community the chance to lead the teams out on matchday, carrying the matchball.

The Club have teamed up with BBC Radio Suffolk and East Anglian Daily Times to secure deserving people for next season.

Our much loved former disability liaison officer, Warner Duff who sadly passed away earlier this year was the Club’s first ever Community Champion. Last season saw a first, with Bowza the dog leading the teams out against Reading after his lifesaving act.

The Club are now looking for worthy nominations for the new campaign. The Community Champion doesn’t have to be a Town fan but they have to shown something special, whether it be bravery, loyalty, kindness - something that makes them stand out.
