'I know I’ll be raring to go when the games start in August but I’ve got to stay patient' says striker on way back from ACL
Freddie Sears has targeted a return to first-team action in November but accepts that patience is key.
The striker is on the way back from a cruciate ligament injury sustained in the defeat at Norwich in February and has been pleased with his progress so far.
“I’m starting on the anti-gravity treadmill and hopefully will be back on the grass in the next four to six weeks.
“I’m feeling positive and if I can get through the next month without any problems then I can really kick on.
“There could be setbacks. You never know because it’s a long process to get back to full fitness but I’d like to be back out there and playing by November.
“I know I’ll be raring to go when the games start in August but I’ve got to stay patient and get myself absolutely right first.”
