Signing session with first-team squad, open training session, activities for all ages on popular day at Club
The Club’s popular Open Day takes place this Thursday, July 25 at Portman Road with loads to enjoy for all the family.
The day, which is - as always - free to enter, kicks off with an hour long signing session with the first-team and Town boss Paul Lambert.
More than 2500 managed to get selfies and autographs at the event last season, with the Club endeavouring to make sure every Blue in the queue gets a chance to meet some of the Town players.
The players will be split into five groups, with those attending the signing session able to select which group they want to meet.
The intended groups are below but are subject to change:-
Idris El Mizouni
Gates open at 9.15am. Entry to the Open Day Fanzone is via Gate 1 on Sir Alf Ramsey Way but those wanting to attend the signing session must enter via Gate 17 on Portman Road.
The signing session will start at 9.45am with the players then taking part in a training session on the main pitch from 11am, which can be watched from the seats in the East of England Co-Op Stand. A mascot race is planned after training has finished when Club mascots Bluey and Crazee take on all challengers.
The weather forecast is hot, hot, hot so please bring plenty of water and sun cream. All the bars will have drinking water available free of charge and there will be food and drink on site.
There are a range of activities in the FanZone for Blues of all ages including:-
*Company Fun Entertainments (balloon modelling and face painting)
*My Big Fat Wedding Disco
*Suffolk Fire and Rescue
*East Anglian Air Ambulance
*Ipswich Town FC Women
*BBC Radio Suffolk
*St Joseph's College
*East of England Co-op
Boots2Africa will also be at the Open Day with their bootbin at the SLO hub/ITFC Heritage Society stand in the FanZone. Town fans have donated over 500 pairs of boots and countless kits in that time. The bootbin will be available at every home match of the season too as well as the Open Day. Click on www.boots2africa.co.uk for more info.
