Brown scores twice for Blues but hosts come out on top in pre-season friendly
Town U23s fell to a 4-2 defeat against Coggeshall Town in their first pre-season friendly this afternoon.
Kai Brown (pictured) scored both for Blues while also seeing a penalty saved by the Seed Growers' shot-stopper.
Coggeshall opened the scoring around 15 minutes in but Brown responded for Gerard Nash's side with a good finish approaching the half-hour mark.
A diving header then restored the hosts' advantage before Brown levelled again about 60 minutes in.
Coggeshall netted twice in the latter stages to take the spoils, the first a fine chip from number 19, with their number nine then netting his second of the game.
