Boss looks to give others a chance as countdown to season takes off
Paul Lambert will look to give more game time so some of the players who missed out on 90 minutes against Colchester when Town take on Notts County on Tuesday night.
With County and Cambridge to come on Saturday before the League One campaign kicks off at Burton on August 3, Blues’ boss will spread the workload.
“We will change it around tomorrow and give a chance to other players to get minutes under their belt.
“Emyr Huws, for one, did well against Colchester in the half hour or so he was on and it’s important that we give everyone a good run out where we can.”
Cole Skuse may return for Blues having missed the 5-0 win at the JobServe Community Stadium with a hip injury, while Alan Judge is seeing a specialist this week to assess his recovery from a broken wrist.
The game against Notts County kicks off at 7pm at Meadow Lane.
