'He is versatile and that helps but I know where I want to play him and the role he will have'
Paul Lambert says Luke Garbutt’s versatility will prove an asset to Town but he knows where he wants to play the loanee.
The 26-year-old - who has joined Town from Everton for the rest of the season - is primarily a left-back but can operate anywhere down the left side and featured on the wing for Oxford while on loan there last term.
“He is versatile and that helps but I know where I want to play him and the role he will have in the team,” Town boss Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
“He has an incredible left foot and can put some great balls into the box, whether that is from left-back or left wing. His delivery and his set-pieces are excellent.
“He’s a technically good footballer and he will be a good asset to us. I’m looking forward to working with him.”
