NORWOOD FEELING AT HOME ALREADY

11 July 2019

'We were in the trenches together and you need that togetherness.I can see that here. I love the lads already' says new Blue

James Norwood has wasted no time in settling into the Town camp and has spoken of the importance of a unified dressing-room.

The striker reported for pre-season a week or so later than the rest of the squad having helped Tranmere win the League Two Play-Off final at the end of May before his move to Portman Road.

He sat out the first game of the summer, the 3-2 defeat against Paderborn last weekend but is likely to be involved in the Interwetten Cup on Sunday.

“I’ve been made to feel welcome from day one,” James told iFollow Ipswich.

“I can see there is a great changing-room here. We’re all bonding well and that’s so important.

“I’ve been part of a successful team over the last two years and the best thing about that was the dressing-room. All the lads got on well, so when there were times when we got into trouble, no one pointed the finger at anyone.

“We were in the trenches together and you need that togetherness, it’s vital.
I can see that here. I love the lads already.”
