Paul pleased with Germany experience and first impressions of new Blues
Paul Lambert said the pre-season tour of Germany gave everyone in the Town squad the perfect opportunity to mix and bond.
Blues spent 10 days in Germany, with the majority of time spent out on the training pitch and in group activities such as cycling and paintball - as well as matches against SC Paderborn 07, Fortuna Dusseldorf and SV Meppen.
"It's important for everyone to get together and mix, so it's been a beneficial trip" Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
"I think everyone applied themselves well too. All the players worked really hard in training and in the matches which was good to see.
"James (Norwood) and Luke (Garbutt) didn't take long to settle in either. It took James about a millisecond for him to come out of his shell!
"The situation was raw in that there wasn't that much to do, but because of that you get to see everybody's personality and as I've said I think that's really important for a team."
