Paul on serious injury suffered by Nydam in Notts County draw
Paul Lambert described the injury suffered by Tristan Nydam in Town's 1-1 draw with Notts County as "incredibly unfortunate".
The 19-year-old left the pitch on the hour mark at Meadow Lane with what looked to be a serious leg injury following a challenge with County's Dion Kelly-Evans.
"First of all there is no blame attached, it was just incredibly unfortunate for Tristan," Paul told iFollow Ipswich.
"We don't know what the damage is yet, it could be a dislocated ankle, but we will just have to wait and see.
"It wasn't nice viewing and it's a real shame because he had been playing well.
"That's football, though. It's a contact sport and these things can happen. It's horrible but hopefully he makes a speedy recovery."
