Potent striker becomes Blues' third summer signing
Town have completed the signing of striker James Norwood on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old Englishman put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Portman Road, with the Club having the option of an additional 12 months.
James, who helped Tranmere Rovers secure promotion to League One via the Play-Offs last term, finished the campaign as the EFL’s top scorer having netted 32 times for the Whites.
Prior to his spell with Rovers, the Eastbourne-born frontman – who had spells at both Brighton and Crystal Palace during his youth – turned out for Exeter City, Sutton United, Eastbourne Borough and Forest Green Rovers.
He signed for Tranmere in May 2015, and went on to score 92 goals in 180 games during his time at Prenton Park.
James is Blues’ third summer signing following the arrival of goalkeepers Tomas Holy and Adam Przybek.
