BOSS ON NORWOOD THREAT

28 June 2019

'People won’t enjoy playing against him, that’s for sure' says Paul

James Norwood will join up with his new team-mates next week with Paul Lambert saying the striker has all the attributes to be a big hit for Town next season.

The 28-year-old was given a later return date for pre-season having helped Tranmere win promotion to League One with a Play-Off final win over Newport at Wembley before signing for Town in a three year deal.

He joins up with Blues ahead of the tour to Germany, with Town boss Paul telling the Club website: “I watched him for Tranmere last year and he was a handful.

“Every time I watched him, he made an impact and he was a huge part of what Tranmere achieved last season.

“He knows where the goal is. His goalscoring record is phenomenal and we have signed a really good player.

“He is a hungry lad as well. He has played in the lower leagues and wants to prove himself and be a success at a higher level. People won’t enjoy playing against him, that’s for sure.”
