“I want to grab this opportunity with both hands. I’m not going to let this chance go"
James Norwood is out to make up for lost time having joined Town on a three year deal at the end of his contract at Tranmere.
The 28-year-old striker started his career at Exeter in League One 10 years ago but had to drop down the football ladder to make his mark.
Speaking to iFollow Ipswich in his first interview as a Blue, James says he has a point to prove.
“It’s gone full circle now,” said the Eastbourne born frontman.
“I joined Exeter in League One when I was 18 but fell out a little bit. I dropped into the Conference with Forest Green and started playing midfield.
“I joined Tranmere because I was dying to play up front and scored 20 goals a season for four years and it’s got me the move here, back in League One and with a point to prove.
“It has taken me nine years to get a real crack at League football and I want to make up for lost time.
“I want to grab this opportunity with both hands. I’m not going to let this chance go.
“I want to score goals here. The Club has got big dreams and I want to be part of that. I don’t want to let myself down.”
