Flynn in action for England U20s but Jonas and Judge miss out on caps
Flynn Downes was in action for England U20s in their defeat by Portugal last night.
The Academy graduate came on as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 loss, with fellow Blue, Andre Dozzell, remaining on the bench.
Trevoh Chalobah, who was in the original squad, returned home after skippering the team in their 3-1 defeat to Poland last week.
Alan Judge was an unused substitute for the Republic of Ireland as Mick McCarthy’s side made it two wins from two games with a victory over Georgia in their European Championship qualifier in Dublin. Former Blue, Conor Hourihane, scored the only goal of the game.
Jonas Knudsen also remained on the bench as his Denmark side struck three times in the closing stages to draw 3-3 in Switzerland in the same group as the Irish.
Armando Dobra, who recently signed his first professional contract at Portman Road, played for Albania U19s in their 2-1 defeat by North Macedonia.
