7 March 2019

Blues midfielder in provisional squad for Euro qualifiers

Alan Judge has been named in the Republic of Ireland provisional squad for their UEFA Euro qualifying games against Gibraltar and Georgia over the international break.

Mick McCarthy's Ireland kick off their qualifying campaign when they face Gibraltar away from home on March 23 before taking on Georgia at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin three days later.

The Boys in Green are in Group D of the qualifying draw along with Gibraltar, Georgia, Denmark and Switzerland.

Alan, who was named Town's Player of the Month for February, will join up with his international team-mates on March 17 - a day after Blues take on Nottingham Forest at Portman Road.

The 30-year-old will be looking to add to his tally of five international appearances, in which he has scored one goal.
