"When you have the atmosphere at games like we’ve had and you are bottom of the league, that shows you that the Club will be alright"
Luke Chambers says Ipswich Town will be alright whatever happens over the rest of the season because of the supporters.
The Town skipper, who signed a new two year contract at the Club last Friday, accepts Blues face a massive challenge to beat the drop to League One but is confident there is a lot to be positive about going forward.
“The manager and the owner are working closely together and they are creating a plan. It’s a plan they are going to stick to,” Chambo told the Club website.
“We know it’s going to be difficult to get out of the position we are in but I still see a lot to be positive about.
“We have a lot of good youngsters here; we’ve got some really good experienced players here; there are lads here that are very talented but have been unfortunate with injury that we need to get them on the pitch.
“But listen, when you are getting 24,000 fans at home games like we did the other week and have the atmosphere like we’ve had and you are bottom of the league, that shows you that the Club will be alright, whoever is here.”
