Boss and Chambo welcome Academy scholars for 2019 to the Club
Town’s new scholars, who are to join the Academy full-time next season, were shown around Portman Road today.
Blues’ boss Paul Lambert and skipper Luke Chambers welcomed the 13 youngsters and their parents to the Club.
Lee O’Neill, general manager football operations and the Academy coaching staff including Adem Atay and Kieron Dyer were also in attendance, with the players officially signing Academy contracts before having lunch in the Sir Bobby Robson suite.
The scholars will be introduced to the crowd at half-time during Saturday’s match against Hull, before joining the other young Blues in a parade around the pitch as Town celebrates the work of the Academy.
The new scholars are: Antoni Bort, Ben Wyss, Elkan Baggott, Brooklyn Kabongolo, Fraser Alexander, Alfie Cutbush, Liam Gibbs, Cameron Stewart, Harley Curtis, Nyan Mesuria, Zanda Siziba, Ola Bello and Michael Bareck.
