"There are not many games when I have walked away disappointed with our performance"
Paul Lambert is looking for his side to carry on where they left off before the international break when Hull visit at the weekend - but hopefully get the rewards this time.
The Tigers need the points to stay in the hunt for the Play-Offs, Blues need the win at the other end of the table, with a 13 point gap to safety and eight matches left.
“That’s been a theme for us over the last six or seven games. We have played some really good football and created a lot of chances but not got that second goal.
“The players are playing with freedom, they are courageous in their play and they are giving it everything. It’s not for a lack of effort that they are not getting the rewards they deserve.
“There are not many games when I have walked away disappointed with our performance and I think the supporters are recognising the level of play the team is at.”
