Lee O'Neill | “We are aiming to get as much of the squad in place for the 10 days away in Germany"

Lee O’Neill says Town are targeting getting the squad in place as much as possible for next season before Blues’ pre-season tour to Germany at the start of July.

Speaking to iFollow Ipswich, the Club’s general manager football operations said Blues are stepping up the quest to add to the squad for the new campaign.

“In an ideal world we would like to get in players as soon as possible,” said Lee.

“One of our key areas when we set out plans for next season was to try and get as much of the squad in place for the 10 days away in Germany.

“We have got our targets and we are moving forward but these things have a habit of taking time.

“Negotiations can go back and forth; players can want to go away and think about things and keep their options open. It’s never easy to get things done quickly but where we can, we will look to get players in for the start of pre-season.”
