Loyal Blue receives Services to Football award

Pat Godbold can add the LMA Services to Football award to her honours in the game.

A former PA to Sir Alf Ramsey and Sir Bobby Robson, Pat joined the Club in 1954 and is still working part-time at Portman Road now, some 65 years later.

She received the Services to Football recognition at the League Managers Association dinner last night, with former Town boss George Burley presenting Pat with the award.

As well as receiving a long-serving award from the Football Association to mark her 50 years at the Club in 2004, Pat also has a place in Town’s Hall of Fame.

In addition, last year she received an honorary doctorate from the University of Suffolk.
