Memories of Town legend in three words to help promote new play

Former Town players will be summing up their memory of Sir Bobby Robson in three words to help promote a new play that can be seen at the Ipswich Regent next month.

Bobby Robson Saved My Life, written by Tom Kelly, illustrates how an individual can influence someone else’s life without knowing it and spotlights that situation with three different characters.

The play will appear at the Regent on the 10th anniversary of Sir Bobby’s passing on July 31, with former players invited to attend.

The campaign #3 WordsForBobby is helping to promote the play, with former Newcastle and England striker Alan Shearer one of many to contribute, along with ex-Blues, simply by describing the Town legend in three words to camera.

A donation from each ticket sold will go to the charity, The Bobby Robson Foundation. Click here for full details of the play and to book tickets, or ring the Ipswich Regent Box Office at (01473) 433100.
