Will Norris hands tickets out to St Mark's Primary School as part of Class of Blues initiative

St Mark's Catholic Primary School year 2 pupils were at Portman Road today as part of Town's Class of Blues initiative.

The children were taken on an interactive tour of Portman Road followed by an ITFC themed maths and literacy lesson.

Town 'keeper Will Norris popped in to surprise the children and hand them tickets for tomorrow night's clash with Wycombe Wanderers at Portman Road.

The Class of Blues initiative is part of a strategic effort from the Club to engage further with youngsters in the area, including First Time Fans, School of the Day and Junior Announcer.

EFL research suggests that children are most likely to watch their first game at the age of seven and then go on to 'pick' which team they will support. Therefore, Town's Class of Blues initiative is a way of introducing Ipswich Town to year 2 pupils at local schools.

A reminder that you have until 3pm tomorrow [Tuesday, 26 November] to register for First Time Fans tomorrow. If you know someone aged 14 or under who will be attending their first ITFC game tomorrow against Wycombe, email with their name, age and ITFC customer number. First time fans receive a certificate to commemorate their first game and will head pitchside for a photo with Club mascot, Bluey.
