"It’s definitely a target for me, a realistic one - to get back playing for my country" says Huws ahead for Euro decider
His focus is on playing games for Town but Emyr Huws has a long term goal to get back playing for his country as well.
The Town midfielder - who has 11 Wales caps to his name - will have a keen eye on their decisive European Championship qualifier against Hungary in Cardiff tonight. A victory for Ryan Giggs’ side would book them a place in next summer’s finals.
“The boys have a big game tonight and it’s definitely a target for me, a realistic one - to get back playing for my country,” Emyr told iFollow Ipswich.
“I think when I’m fit and playing, I am good enough to get in the Wales team and hopefully I can be involved sooner rather than later.
“I need to carry on improving, playing games for Ipswich first and keep getting fitter and stronger.
“My focus is on having a positive effect on games here so Wales is a goal in the distance but I’d like to get there.”
