"Football wise, we dominated the ball and were the better team" says Paul
Paul Lambert felt Town did enough to have taken all three points against Blackpool.
Gwion Edwards gave Blues an early lead but it needed a Luke Garbutt penalty just before the hour to level the scores after the Seasiders had edged ahead through goals from Joe Nuttall and a penalty from Jay Spearing.
“I thought we were the better team,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.
“We started great, got a good goal. They played on the counter, defended in numbers - which is their prerogative - but football wise, we dominated the ball and were going for the winner so I’m happy with the performance.
“I have not had a look at the penalties. I’ve heard the linesman said that there was no contact to the referee so there is a contradiction there for the decision that went against us but I’d have to look at it again to be sure. I didn't think it was at first look.
“The important thing for me is the performances levels were really good. We did enough to have won. They probably came for a point. That’s football.”
