And praise for Judge as well as Town return to top spot

Paul Lambert said Danny Rowe’s winner was reward for the form he has shown for Town this season.

The wideman’s first goal for the Club gave Blues a 1-0 win at Rochdale and took Town back to the top of League One.

“I thought in the second-half we were brilliant,” the Town boss told iFollow Ipswich.

“You have to earn the right to play in any game and we did that. It’s a difficult place to come and in the first-half we had bits and pieces but after the break we were first class and we deserved the three points.

“I’m delighted for Danny. He has been brilliant all season and that was just reward for what he has done this year.

“Judgey [Alan Judge] was also great for us. That was the best he has been for a while. He is getting back to what we know he is capable of now.

“The chemistry between the players is really good and we’re still improving. We’re in a good place at the moment.”
