“It’s been at the back of my mind that I hadn’t scored for the Club"

Danny Rowe is hoping he can start contributing regularly to the goal tally now after grabbing his first in Town colours in the win at Rochdale.

The wideman provided the winner early in the second-half with a neat finish and concedes it’s been a long time coming.

“It’s been at the back of my mind that I hadn’t scored for the Club, especially as I am used to getting goals,” Danny told the Club website.

“It’s been a while but thankfully I’ve got one and hopefully I can go on and add a few more now.

“I’ve been here a while now but I’ve not really had a run in the team until now.

“The gaffer has been great with me. He has trusted me and I’ve played in a majority of the games this season and it paid off for me last night.

“The most important thing was that we got the three points though. It was never going to be pretty up there but if you want to win leagues, you have to go to places like Rochdale and get results.

“It doesn’t matter how we do it, we just have to keep on picking up points."
