Town hopeful of quick return for Vincent-Young after operation

Kane Vincent-Young is expected to be out for a couple of weeks after having groin surgery.

The August signing from Colchester was forced off on the hour mark in Town’s win at Southend last time out and having been troubled by the injury over the last few weeks it was decided that surgery was the best option.

“Kane came through the operation okay,” Town boss Paul Lambert told the Club website.

“It was the same situation as what [James] Norwood was in and hopefully it will be the same sort of timescale for his return.

“It’s been hindering him but it’s not too severe. He will be okay and it won’t be long before he’s back.”

Paul added that he will see how Cole Skuse comes through training today before firming up his side for Tuesday’s visit to Rochdale.

The midfielder left the field against Southend before the half hour mark with a groin problem.
