El Mizouni eyes games and a first goal for Blues this season

Idris El Mizouni has targeted goals as his goal for the rest of the season as he looks to break into the first-team.

The Academy graduate, who played for the U23s in the 2-1 win over Coventry last night, has nine senior appearances for Blues including playing in the EFL Trophy wins over Tottenham U21 and Gillingham.

He was close to getting on the scoresheet in both those games and told the Club website: "That is one of my targets for this season - to score my first senior goal for Ipswich Town.

“I also want to play more games for the first-team. That’s down to me to impress the manager and get my opportunity.

“It’s a big step up from the U23s to the first-team. It’s much more intense; more physicality. You need more endurance.”   

Idris was at Portman Road today to support a football festival hosted by the Club’s Community Trust for education year 3 and 4 children,
