Town work with Borough Council as new experience launches today

Town have teamed up with Ipswich Borough Council to bring together a unique pop-up experience for Blues supporters young and old.

Opening at 10am today, the ITFC Town Hall Celebrations experience and pop-up store features a showcase of historical artefacts, (some of which have never been displayed to the public) digital content and memorabilia covering the various celebrations held at the Town hall building.

This mini exhibition curated by the Ipswich Town FC Heritage Society, covers the celebrations of the 1962 league title, the 1978 FA Cup success, Blues lifting the UEFA Cup in 1981 and Town's return to the Premiership following the 2000 First Division Play-Offs.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the Club's replica of the famous FA Cup trophy which was lifted by Sir Bobby Robson's men forty years ago.

There are activities for young Blues fans including the chance to write a letter to their favourite Blues player, a chance to design their own Town kit, and a height chart to see how they compare to current Blues players, including the 6ft 9in Tomas Holy!

Alongside the exhibition, the ITFC seasonal pop-up store will be open for business, stocking all gift list favourites, replica kit and a number of festive crackers. Keep an eye out for up and coming events such as signing sessions too.

Operating times for the pop-up experience are 10am - 4.45pm Monday through to Saturday, with late night shopping dates and Sunday trading throughout December also on the agenda. A full opening hours schedule will be published soon.

The last day of opening will be Tuesday, 24 December so be sure to get down to the Ipswich Town Hall and check out the new experience!
