WILSON | NO PLACE I'D RATHER BE

14 October 2019

Defender enjoying life with Blues and hoping for January contract extension

James Wilson said there is no place he would rather be than Ipswich Town at the moment, and is hoping his contract at the Club, which runs until January, will be extended.

The central defender signed for Town in the summer and has made seven league appearances up to this point - all of which Blues have won, conceding just two goals in the process.

"I'd love to stay," he told the official Club website.

"There haven't been any discussions yet but hopefully it will get sorted, that's what I'd like to happen.

"There's no place I'd rather be right now."

James also spoke about the frustration of missing out on Blues' trip to Accrington this weekend, after he was sent off following two yellow cards in the 1-0 win over Fleetwood Town.

"I was gutted because I know I was on a booking but I didn't think I did enough to justify getting sent off," he added.

"That was frustrating but there are plenty of games still to go and hopefully I can play my part going forward."
